Tailored Learning Environments
Moonbeams
Moonbeams is our nurturing room for babies and toddlers aged 6 to 24 months. With one practitioner for every three babies, we provide exceptional care and attention. Our spacious environment features climbing equipment, a cozy storytelling corner, and a creative art space. At Moonbeams, we create a safe and supportive atmosphere where each child feels valued as they experience their first time away from home.
Little Stars
Little Stars is a nurturing room for children aged 18 months to 3 years, accommodating up to 24 little ones. We create an engaging environment by regularly rearranging the room and rotating resources. Our cozy side room offers a peaceful space for stories and quiet activities, as well as a sensory area for smaller group work. As children near 3 years old, we prepare them for the transition to Sunshine Corner, considering their developmental readiness while fostering a sense of belonging.
Sunshine Corner
In Sunshine Corner, we celebrate children's vocabulary growth alongside their journey toward independence. As they develop, children build genuine relationships through imaginative play in our home corner, learning the importance of sharing and forming special bonds with friends.
We emphasise emotional understanding with wellbeing sessions that help children recognise their own feelings and those of others, fostering friendship skills. Our art room and messy corner encourage creativity as children explore textures and create unique masterpieces.
Additionally, we promote exploration through visits to our forest school and local walks. By planning activities based on children's interests, we provide diverse experiences that empower them to expand their knowledge and take an active role in their learning.
Pre-School
At Bell Day Pre-school, we provide a rich curriculum filled with diverse learning opportunities and exciting experiences. Our planning blends child-led interests with adult-led ideas, fostering curiosity and helping children learn about the world. We also focus on building independence, confidence, and developmental skills to prepare them for school.
Weekly, we engage in Forest School sessions, community outings, and swimming sessions. We offer Spanish lessons once a week and Born2Move sessions twice a week, along with access to tennis courts and a sports hall for bike riding and gross motor skill development.
Our facility includes two large rooms and a garden, allowing children to make choices about their activities. All resources are easily accessible, promoting ownership of their learning.
